Researchers Recognized at National Conference

Members of the Department of Cell and Cancer Biology were recognized for their scholarly contributions at the 2025 American Association for Exosome and Vesicle (AAEV) Conference in Salt Lake City.

Research assistant Jiahui Hu was originally selected to present a poster; however, after receiving exceptionally high review scores, she was invited to deliver an oral presentation instead. She presented a 10-minute talk titled “Divergent ECM Penetration of PDAC-Derived Exosomes Correlates with LAMC2 and MMP9 Signatures,” highlighting her research on exosome behavior in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC).

Postdoctoral associate Dr. Guoyi Jiang received a poster award at the conference in recognition of her work. Her lightning talk, “A Pool of ‘Smart’ Exosomes for Precision Targeted Therapy of Pancreatic Ductal Adenocarcinoma (PDAC),” focused on innovative approaches to targeted therapy in pancreatic cancer.
